Senior Design Associate

Position Summary

Oasis Landscape Architecture is Sarasota based Landscape Architecture Design Studio seeking a thoughtful, detail-oriented Senior Design Associate to join our creative studio. Senior Design Associates work under the direction of the Design Principal to help move design ideas forward and support the production, organization, and accuracy of drawing sets and presentation materials. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and an excellent communicator, capable of contributing to collaborative design environments while managing a variety of project tasks with professionalism and creativity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Design Principal to advance design concepts across all phases of a project

  • Prepare documents, graphics, and visuals for use by the Principal

  • Execute site analysis and other research tasks to support design development

  • Create analytical and conceptual drawings, graphics, and 3D models

  • Develop and coordinate all aspects of project design—from conceptual sketches through construction documentation

  • Prepare and manage design presentation packages and drawing sets

  • Work with Design Associates to draft project workplans and task lists

  • Manage and organize incoming project data from clients and consultants

  • Coordinate with external design teams to receive, process, integrate, and respond to design updates

  • Oversee aspects of internal team organization, including tracking task progress, drafting meeting minutes, and noting action items

  • Represent Oasis Landscape Architecture in client, consultant, and public meetings as needed

  • Mentor and coordinate with junior team members

  • Visit project sites to coordinate with contractors and monitor construction progress

  • Manage and respond to RFIs as required

  • Travel may be required for client meetings and/or site visits

Required Skills

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients, and contractors

  • Excellent time management, teamwork, and communication skills

  • Self-motivated with a positive and creative approach to design iteration and problem solving

  • Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills

  • Proficient in hand-drawing and digital drafting workflows

Qualifications

  • Landscape Architect License preferred

  • 5–10 years of professional experience in landscape architecture or a related field

  • Licensure and/or LEED accreditation preferred

  • Demonstrated experience developing construction document sets, technical detailing, permitting coordination, and project installation

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, LandFX, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite required

  • Familiarity with SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, and D-5 preferred

  • Strong understanding of planting design and plant materials

  • Proven ability to manage project workflow and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams

Landscape Designer

Position Summary

Oasis Landscape Architecture (OLA) is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Landscape Designer to join our fast-growing team in Sarasota Florida. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the design process from schematic design through construction observation. The position will require the applicant to work closely with the Creative Director, Project Managers and Project Consultants.

A successful applicant will have excellent communication, time management and collaboration skills. They will also be inquisitive and willing to learn new skills, software’s and techniques.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an Accredited University

- Proficiency in Auto CAD, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, Google Sketch-Up and Lumion

- 1+ years of industry experience

- Knowledge of LandFX is preferred but not required

- Detail oriented and excellent problem-solving skills
